Every great garden has a story… and so does The Rose Gardener.
Long before I somehow found myself in the rose business, The Rose Gardener belonged to two extraordinary people—my forever friends, Wendy and Ryan Tilley.
They started The Rose Gardener in Georgia, eventually bringing their business (and their roses) to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Lucky for me, they also became my neighbors. My yard never stood a chance of winning “Best Garden” after that.
Ryan’s rose garden was legendary. Seriously. If there was a rose variety you were looking for, chances are he had it. Their yard was overflowing with color, fragrance, and enough blooms to make any gardener stop and stare.
Fresh roses were never reserved for special occasions—they were just another Tuesday at the Tilleys’ house.
The Tilleys don’t just know roses—they live roses. Their knowledge, kindness, and love for gardening have inspired countless gardeners over the years.
Now it’s my turn.
Do I know as much about roses as Wendy and Ryan? Not even close. I’ll happily admit that! But what I do bring is a love of people, a passion for building relationships, and a legit business background that I hope will help The Rose Gardener continue to grow.
My goal isn’t to change what the Tilley’s have built. It’s to honor it.
With Wendy and Ryan’s friendship, wisdom, and occasional nudges in the right direction, I’m honored to carry on their legacy while serving fellow gardeners who believe there’s always room for just one more rose.
